Giggidy giggidy.
Some great figures there! WRT the boost -I'm sure Patrick said they'd intended about 2Bar -a tad surprised with the power level at the lower boost map. Fantastic build. I only wish I had the balls to just hand the money over to Patrick rather than thinking about it overnight and changing my mind! |

I think 2Bar of boost would be fine but I'd have change the MAP sensor as it's only the 2.5Bar version, then get it remapped and I think we might start hitting the limits of the ST205 chargecooler and fuelling. Although I haven't seen intake temps of over 30 yet with an ambient temp of ~20. I've only just got the car back as it was at Rogue having a few niggles resolved and more remapping, it's now also got a Berk exhaust and an AEM wideband. What a difference the wideband makes! Off boost, the car is so much better and it was ok before! Also seems a bit faster but that could be partly due to the extra noise, I need speak to Thor to see if they can email me a new dyno printout. Nik |

Hi Dave,
The mapping didn't go too well... I got to the rolling road and the plan was to do a power run first and then go from there but there was a problem with the fuelling i.e. not enough of it. This was spotted straight away so the run was aborted at 4500rpm. There wasn't anything else we could do so I dropped the car off at Rogue and the fuel problem is now resolved (hopefully) so if everything goes well, the car will be remapped on Tuesday. Nik |

Im sure the guys tunning your car are able to let you know what % they are working at, but im sure at 20 psi they would be close to 100%.
I thought the wide band was only for tunning or for people who touch there settings |

Yes, you can see the injector duty when mapping the car as it's one of the key elements that needs to be set, I can also see it in real-time on the displaylink in my car. They were maxing out at 100% but a lot earlier than they should be due to the fuelling problem, ideally you wouldn't want to go over 85% duty as you lose finer control of the fuelling. I'm not expecting the injectors to get near to 100% now that the fuelling is fixed, Rogue specced them to supply enough fuel for up to 2bar of pressure rather than the 1.5bar that it is running currently. The wideband is wired into the ECU so that the ECU can adjust various parameters based on this output, just like a stock ECU can with closed loop Lambda control. When I first got the car back, it didn't have this and the off boost performance wasn't great, now it drives just like a stock car with it. Nik |

Hi Dave,
It's pretty good, I picked the car up on Saturday. Ryan fixed all of the issues and even gave up a couple of hours on Saturday to meet me with the car and to make sure the map was ok on the road. It's only running 1.4bar now though as Ryan wasn't happy about the rising coolant temps on the dyno when running more than this. Having said that, it seems a lot better on the road with a decent air flow. This means that I've lost about 10BHP but I've also gained about 10 ft/lbs of torque and the car is much smoother. It seems that to get any more power, I'd have to change the turbo as the exhaust wheel seems to be the limitation now and a possible cause of the rising temps on boost. Not sure it's worth it though as the biggest turbo with the same packaging is the GT2876, anything beyond that and I'd need a new downpipe, lose the aircon, etc. I don't think I'll bother though, I'm not really chasing numbers and the car is already very fast on the road.
