BEAMS videos thread :D

How about a thread dedicated to videos of various beams powered cars and setups?

Here are a few to get the ball rolling, mostly from people of this forum anyway hahaha.

Hi Bonzai the mr2 is about 10kg heavier than the celica, i wouldnt read to much into that video, any teg owner would be slightly miffed that either was even keeping up with there beloved tegra , dont be disheartened, the ss3 has suspension so soft that even when replaced with aftermarket springs is not as stiff as the integra's, i know i bought lowering springs and promptly replaced them with decent coilovers, think of the beams as a sleeping beast which toyota have left you to figure out how to waken Just ask RST how his felt after the link ecu fitted, i have pissed off two 1mz-fe owners after they told me they had made 173bhp at the wheels with a link ecu, and RST made 183bhp at the wheels, do not see the beams as it is, but more what you can do with it

ya doesn't matter. if you look at the video with the SS-III, G-Limited and FT0 you see that the fto loses. fto makes it peak power at 7500rpm and its a v6. torque from FTO v6 motor is the same as the beams and the car weighs the same as the celica.

I believe toyota didnt raise the rpm limiter from 3rd gen 3sge to 4th gen beams motor because they didnt want to mess with the gearing on the s54 transmission.
