Some Help Please.
This is my Celica with an unfinished swap. Can someone tell me where some of these plugs go to?
The car wont start either, but everything is grounded, and the injectors are getting power, we get fuel pressure, we get spark, and it cranks but wont fire. Could it be a clogged fuel rail or is it because some of the plugs we have are not plugged in somewhere? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The front mount is not lining up for some reason. ![]() Is there suppose to be that much space in that area? ![]() Inside the car: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Man connect all your plugs even before you consider a blocked fuel rail.
Have you got a OEM beams harness ? If so hold the plug and search in its proximity . |

The grey one is the plug for your O2 sensor.
The black one is for the charcoal canister solenoid |

Hey sugarfree, ST-what is your Celica? I have my BEAMS in a ST184, GT Convertible, engine-mounts etc all lined up fine. You, like WFX/Wayno, probably have to modify the cross member of the engine compartment to get things to fit. Mine was a straight drop in. I use the ST184 GT Convertible OEM driveshafts too. I think the liftback might need to use the ST202/BEAMS driveshafts....
Black plug = Charcoal canister solenoid plug. I have mine unplugged & disabled. No MIL codes. Grey 4-pin plug = O2, engine will not run without it. MAF = engine will not run without it. Big space behind your battery is where the OEM ST202/BEAMS airbox & airfilter go. I don't think the OEM airbox will fit there with the battery in the original place. WFX did the same with his ST184 liftback. As for the plugs inside, they all look like you can get it running without it. Mine is similar, the 2 small white plugs & 1 large white plug (I think that one is for dash instruments) I have all disconnected too...except for the ones that run the water temp, oil level & RPM. |

Its a St202 its a 96 GT. From what i heard i think all the mounts should line up, but not sure why im having this problem.
Where is the o2 sensor that plugs into the 4 pin gray? Is there a part number and is it part of the intake or something? I REALLY appreciate everyones input and help!!! Last edited by sugarfree; 07-13-2009 at 06:16 PM.. |

Wierd, maybe BEAMS ST202 has different cross-member. Are your driveshafts lining up properly?? O2 sensor sits in the exhaust header/collector B-pipe or whatever that is called...this is where that plug is supposed to go. Intake pipe, airbox & filter will cost a fortune if you buy it OEM. I really do hope you got the MAF with your engine (also wikk, also $$$$$) Parts you could need: 17880-74840 22020-74300 17700-74510 17700-74690 Price: alot alot alot, this lot includes a new OEM MAF. What's missing: the intake "resonator" part, the one that goes inside the quarter panel.... |

plug in an O2 sensor, make sure it's Toyota 4-wire and make sure it's somewhere in the exhaust for it "read" properly, same for the MAF inside the intake pipe |

I just wanted to update anyone who might run into the same problem. Well its not looking too good right now. The person who did my harness, used a 5s connector plug and theres no wire going into pin 17. Effin mudaeffer, so irritated. So im having to go back and trace back my harness while its on the motor.
