Wiring Help
Ok was looking at BEAMS today and noticed a wire has a busted plug. Like there is no plug! It runs from the very bottom of the motor above the oil pan on the block right near the oil filter. It then runs up the front near the dipstick. I think this is the crank trigger wire but not sure.
If it is I need to fix that asap! I dont have a pic I should've snapped one while I was there. You can faintly see it here. ![]() |

Yes thats the cranks trigger sensor, so what your saying is that it ripped from the plug or the plug is missing? You may wanna talk with MR220V and see if he cant help you out maybe another plug like it to use in place of the broken one!

Thank god its still plugged into the sensor. The plastic plug broke and now its simply a wire with pins. So really I just need a plain connector plug. I was planning on PMing mr220v since he did my harness. Hopefully he has a spare plug laying around.

Thats the crank sensor.....
Unfortunately you can by the female thats attached to the harness but you cant buy the male of the sensor. options 1 buy a new one approx $125 2 rewire both ends with new plugs. Ex Toyota or water proof generics. Remember even though its a single wire there is a shield that needs to be wired. ( second pin) Read your manual as they are all there and cross reference to the boards wiring repair manualLast edited by MANDALAY; 07-25-2009 at 12:14 PM.. |

The part does not exist. Its a part of the sensor.Toyota doesnt offer it.
What you can buy is the female which he already has. 2 pin female water proof 90980–11009 |

It does exist, and you can get it.
The P/n is 90980-10959 for the crank sensor part of the plug, and 90980-10947 for the harness side of the plug. Price for the housings from toyota is $4.82. It won't come with pins, so if yours are mangled or missing, hit the junkyard for replacements. Speaking of which, you could also just go to the junkyard and get all of this. Probably the best option if you need the terminals too. 98 or 99 camry 4cyl would have this. |

Another option, the some of the 2 wire o2's run a similar sort of plug. You could use this and have it come out looking mostly the same. Main difference is the keyways which can be shaved off.
