Dyno question?

I went to the dyno a day ago and was happy with my hp numbers but was not able to get the most accurate tq numbers as the have to hook up a pick-up from a spark plug wire in this case we dont have one so where would they have to plug in at to get a reading the dyno was a dynojet only 6months old my whp was 181whp but they tried to use a universal pick-up and it came out with 546wtq lol! They messed with it a little bit and got a reading of 158wtq think that sounds about right! So where can they hook up to get a proper reading?
Thanks!

The torque figure changes with each gear!

They also dont mean anything, in a way that's comparable to any other car.

It's the shape of the curve that's important, so long as there are no noticable dips or dives, then that's about all of the useful information you're able to get from it.

Well, with the exception of going back to the dyno with some other changes, and seeing if it improves or diminishes your performance.

I think I had this problem at Dastek when the monkey came out with his CT and said he couldn't get a signal . I think I told them to tap into the tacho signal going to the ECU or summit -not too sure they wouldn't let me near the car on the dyno so I just changed dyno centres because most cars these days have coil packs and everyone else manages OK tbh.

So I'm guessing you dont have an RPM scale along your dyno printout? Just road speed?

You can work the horsepower formula backwards from rpms to torque if you do.
