Modified exhaust

Hey guys,
I was just wondering if it's worth putting a modified exhaust system on my Celica with a beams engine.
I can get this system for free off a celica that is being broken.

Not really interested in what sound it makes but if there is a decent difference to performance I would interested.
I'm finding it difficult to get good information on this online so hoping someone here can help

Well I'm not going to put any money into it.
Just wondering if it's worth doing with the kit I can get for free.

If you can get it for free take it and try it out! If you don't like it sell it for a profit. It's a win win for you and I'm sure you can make some kind of power gain from it if you have a stock exhaust now! I think it's worth a try!

The muffler with this brand name is very noisy.

Might be a bit loud so.
Next question then:
Would fitting this be a big undertaking for someone who has never done this before?

Fitting will be easy as!

Hardest part is when the bolts are rusty and tight, after being in the same place for however many years without being undone.

Spraying some CRC on all of the bolts the day before, and/or undoing them with a rattle gun makes it easy work though.

Just perhaps get some replacement gaskets before you start, or use some gasket goo, or reuse the old ones if they arent buggered I guess.

Nothing hard about it though! Just be sure not to get underneath a car that isnt supported by axle stands...

Get yourself a little DIY blow torch for under £10 (here in the UK) when you're working on the car -I hardly ever strain to remove any old bolts now (even brake lines) by roasting the nuts off them first with the "hot spanner" before going in with a decent spanner or ratchet.

One of the most cost effective tools I keep LoL.
