Help adjusting TPS sensor

Hi,

I have a Beams Blacktop engine and I'm having problems adjusting the TPS sensor, recently during the rebuild I removed the sensor to clean. I did my best to line it up with its old settings but have had problems ever since.

Does anyone know the base voltage it should be reading. I have to adjust it then reset the ECU everytime as it automatically compensates with ETCS. I've been testing the base voltage with the ETCS fuse removed so theres no compensation being made by the ecu.

At the moment its sitting at 0.78v, aparently at WOT it should read 4.06v but at the moment its reading about 4.12v.

There isnt any adjustment in it, if it's like the single VVTI one.

Just perhaps make sure that it's slotted in properly I guess?

Unlike the 20V ones and similar, which have slotted holes for adjustment.

I'd like to know what the TPS reading is supposed to be at idle, if anyone knows though... Have to adjust my 20V one to suit.

What problems is it causing BTW?

Hey, I did this recently, and the TPS does not have any adjustments at all. I am pretty sure the BlackTop one is the same(ish) unit. What I did notice is the ECU has to 'relearn' the settings again as it ran rough for a couple minutes and then figured itself out again....reset your ECU maybe so it starts anew?

With running quad throttle setup, I am using the 20V blacktop TPS, which is adjustable.

I just want to adjust it to the voltage range at which the redtop is 'normally' at, as it's something I forgot to do before selling mine!

And the 'learning' is more to do with figuring out the idle speed controller settings I think...

When I had a vaccum leak and then fixed it, the engine would just die, not idle at all until I reset the computer. It got used to the leak somewhat, so just had the idle speed controller jammed shut the whole time to try and compensate, haha.
