BEAMS MR2 Wheelsize

I've done some searching on the net, but couldn't find the right information about this.
What is the stock wheelsize for the BEAMS MR2? (rear tyre)
I'm currently using 195/50-R15 (it's very close to the stock ST162 size) but my speedometer is reading very wrong. While driving with 130km/h on a highway, the GPS says it's only 111-112 or so. I'm thinking of buying a set of 16" rims, but what tyre sizes should I look after?

IIRC 10% error on speedo is near 'correct' reading....maybe the GPS is right, or just slow at getting the sat signal...I have a garmin Venture HC and it's never close to 100%

195x55x15 front 225x50x15 rear if I recall correctly (revisions 2-5 in the UK, rev 1's came with 14" wheels), you can convert the equivalent sizes using one of the on-line tyre converters. I run 235x40x17's on the rear of mine with 215x40x17's on the front -my speedo only seems to be about 2mph out pretty much through the full range according to my tomtom.

(Edited -I corrected my front tyre size from 205 to 215)

The staggered 16" tire option (that is closest to OEM tire height) would be 205/45-16 and 225/45-16. However, there are very few options for tires in that combination.

The staggered 17" tire option (that is closest to OEM tire height) would be 215/40-17 and 235/40-17. There are many more options for tires in that combination.

I'm thinking on 205/50R16 for all four tyres, that is pretty close to the original 225/50R15 rearwheel as I see.
Only problem is that this size is not that popular and therefor not too cheap :S

Yea I know, TE37 is a big favorit for me as well
But 17" is too much for a T16.

As I figured out, 195/50R15 wasn't close to the stock ST162 size, so I was running on too little diameter wheels :\

But I finally ended up with a set of 16" T23 rims, painted it gold to match my roof, and put on some Kumhos (they were quite good price/value choice):

Only problem is, I cannot use the 35mm spacer on the rear wheels anymore, because this rim has lower ET than my former one. Maybe I'm going for a 25mm one. Front is perfect without spacer.
