E-Manage for Redtop

OK, so I now have my Redtop being installed in my Corolla (AE101) so, I'm just wondering if the Greddy E-manage work for our engines? would it also let me run open ITB's? I also know that E-manage can run Ignition too, I'm just wondering since we have COP's would it also work? thanks!

A piggyback won't make it so that you can run a map sensor instead of the maf. Unless you step up to a motec or something, you're pretty much stuck running some kind of airbox. You could still run itbs, just not open itbs.

The normal emanage will handle COP, but you will still need the airflow sensor.

The emanage ultimate will also handle COP and it has an airflow output map that will allow you to get rid of your airflow meter. I think the SMT-6 has similar featurs as well.

You can get the manuals here.

Darn, so the the e-manage blue wouoldn't let me run open ITB's but the Ultimate will? I have a megasquirt lying around, how about if I control the fuelling with the MS and just the fuel alone sine MS has it's own MAP sensor which I can just tap with the engine's vacuum and leave the rest to the stock ECU such as ignition, VVTi etc... would that work or not really?

No, the blue will not let you convert from an airflow meter to a MAP setup. At least not very easily... You could probably trick the ecu if you got creative enough... but I doubt it would be a very effective solution and would probably lead to other issues.

I'm not very familiar with MS, I've only messed around with it a few times. But, I think trying to do what you just described would create more problems than it would solve. Why not do a full MS install? I thought it could handle vvti?

I'm not too familiar with the 3sge, or ITB's. I was really just throwing out some emanage info for you. Good luck with your project.
