Beams Redtop truble
Hi! New member from Sweden here. We got a 3sge redtop with automatic ECU and viringharnes. And We have instaled it in an -87 celica with manual gearbox. It fires up rel nice but when we dyno it we only get 150ps and the lambda goes down to 0.7 at 3000rpm. Anny tipps and tricks? Can we run it with the Auto ECU or does it need signals from the gear box?.. What about diagnostics. We got computers for Toyota cars but the diagnostic outlet doesnt work? It is a unusual engine her in Sweden... Thanks Stefan

There is no issue with running an AT ecu. No extra wiring to be done either.
You can pull error codes by grounding pin TC. This will cause your check engine light (or whatever you have attached to pin W) to blink. Another possible issue, how did you mount your MAF? Did you buy an aftermarket intake for this type of maf, or did you cut into a random pipe? |

Problem solved.
![]() New MAF fixed the rich AFR, and the discovery of an faulty knock-sensor found the lost power. |
