Stand-alone or AEM FIC for what I want...

My goals for my car would be a custom exhaust system and maybe a CAI if I can find one or better yet I want to run open ITB's in it, but I really am planning to boost it hopefully latter part of next year, boosting it with stock internals and maybe running 6-8 lbs. of boost, now for those plans, what would be the cheapest stand-alone for those upgrades? I know there's Power FC, Link G4, etc, but upon researching on those, I feel that some are almost identical with what they have to offer yet prices varies, also I see some with tons of features and honestly I don't think I'll be needing them all, I guess what I'm looking for is a stand-alone that could make me run what I want above yet not hurt my pocket, as for Piggybacks, I'm thinking e-manage blue or ultimate, or AEM FIC, they would be cheaper but would they let me run open ITB's on my car? AFAIK the AEM FIC has this function in which it can emulate the AFM so it sends signal still to the ECU making it think that you still are running stock AFM in reality it would now run MAP via the unit, I'm not sure though if this would work for our engines and if any BEAMS owner have actually tried this unit as well.

here's a quick article about it, comparing it to e-manage:

My Google Map

Look up the map2 ECU.

If I wasnt wanting a higher rev limit, that's what I'd get.

MAP2 ECU? is this a brand? ok I'll check it, also I've seen Honda's and Mitsu's getting their stock ECU's reflashed, aren't ours capable of those?

Thanks!

^^ BTW is this a Piggy-back? Because if it is a stand-alone, I don't see anything stating control over VVTi.

Thanks!
