Water pump/Oil pump

From what I've read on this board I think some of you guys mentionned that they were the same as 3sgte

can someone confirm?
if so 2nd or 3rd gen?

I'd like to buy new one and would be more then happy if I can find them here in America

Gabriel

Water Pump part number is supposed to be... 16100-79225
Oil pump part number?? 15100-88460 or 15100-88560 or 15100-88561

On my way to order complete gasket kit so I'd like to buy everything to get my engine reassembled

I'll try to know if the water pump is the same as an other 3sgte engine over here.. if not I'll have to order water pump and oil pump at the same engine when I'll order the complete engine gasket kit + timing belt

Once a week!!!!1!

Check your oil next time you do oil change.....lots of crap in it? Could indicate that oil pump is getting worn just from the dirt that's wearing it's parts. Got an oil pressure gauge? That can indicate when your oil pump actually fails.....taking your engine apart for some major work? Head gasket swap, head job, dropping the oil pan, new thermostat.....this would be a great time to take off the oil pump & water pump && have a look at them for signs of wear....heck just a good time to add new everything to the engine if your wallet permits...

I see, thanks.
Then no need to worry yet, my oil is fine light-brown colored, only minimal darker part on the bottom, oil pressure is perfect.

can someone confirm which of the oil pump part number is the right one?

Seems like toyota may be able to order some parts so I'll drive by tomorrow after work and see if they are able to

already have the complete gasket kit part number
already have the timing belt part number
already have the water pump part number

only missing the right oil pump part number

MR2 or Celica?

I'll assume MR2: 15100-88360, that's the whole kit tho...not pump alone

Oil pump 15100-88561
water pump 16100-79225

There the numbers , 100% i have them infront of me.
Both pieces are the same as the gen 4 Caldina Turbo.

Im positive you wont get them from Toyota in the states. If you could it would be great but i dont like your chances. Reason is that Aaron from Lithia Toyota WOULD have got them if he could.
I bumped the thread on beams parts that Pasqual made a link. They are fairly accurate prices USD BUT that doesnt include shipping , taxes at all or any losses due to currency exchange , fees for money transfers and the list goes on.................

The part numbers we are providing are for the BEAMS and thus the JDM parts list. Not a single American dealer can look at those parts, I suspect the Canuck dealers can't either....

*IF* they can switch domestic market to somewhere else, where I come from they can switch EPC's from USA to EU to Japan & Everywhere Else (that is seriously how it is displayed...), ask them if they can because then they can find the correct parts & locations & ordering forms.

This is how we do it in Australia.
Standard Aussie car , easy , supply VIN and Toyota knows exactly whats on your car.
Part for a JDM well you have to supply the part number.
Then they switch to GOBAL EPC. Confirm the part , its price and availability.
Then if you want it , it is checked if its on file. If it is ( most likely here in Australia as i have put about 600 parts on file ), you just order it
If its not on file , you have to get it put on THEN YOU CAN ORDER IT.

HERE IS THE TRICKY PART. UNLESS YOU CAN MAKE FRIENDS WITH SOMEONE AT TOYOTA they all run away from it because it means WORK !
This is where a couple of Johnny Walkers come in handy.

Finally unless they trust you you have to pay in advance as it is a special order.

Oh BTW the local Toyota dealer DOESNT PUT IT ON FILE,
They just fax a request to the main office and wait until they get the responce.

This is the key.
America CAN GET THE PARTS BUT they just dont want to put new parts on file.

Here is a thought can anyone tell me where Head office is in the States ?
And ill ask them

already ordered the TRD bar straight from Japan because Toyota Canada didn't know anything about it (came with the part number)

the guy told me I'll call and tell you if you can have it... 1 day later it was ordered

I know the guy at the parts office, I'm probably the only one still buying Mr2 parts from the dealer in town

If I can stop working 10 hours/day I'll try to stop by and see what he can do

Main US office is probably in California, this is where the majority of my parts come when they don,t have it in stock in Toronto (Canada Main office)

Shoot Aaron over at Lithia a PM, he will get the info you need. But Im pretty sure he has tried to get Global access but I suspect Toyota of America will not allow this due to red tape and American government regulations.

Hmm I wonder what I could order from Toyota of Mexico? I visit some family semi annually, need to check it out next time Im there.

Yeah they are mostly *******s at the Toyota dealers near my house in Chicago, don't wanna do ****.
ALL the dealers I have had the misfortune to have tried to deal with can't do a thing about JDM parts or their part numbers. I show up with precise part number (because they ALWAYS want the damn VIN, lazy bastards, 3 clicks bypasses the VIN screen) they input the number in parts search and it gives back an error, Part Number Not Found or some other similar error.
They can NOT switch to Global or JDM EPC, I even asked them every time about it, they do not have that option/screen/check box.

I am used to the dealer here in Aruba, they can switch to every god damn country on the planet pretty much and look up ALL parts & prices AND stock location+number of available parts of the number you are looking for etc.

Bitches in the States even insist it is impossible for me to look part numbers up....regardless if I tell them I have the EPC installed on my computer OR the toyodiy site....

Is there a part number for that or is it a universal thing? I've asked this before without anyone chiming in.
