Quick question

Sorry if I keep on asking about piggybacks...

anyway I just want to know if Perfect Power SMT6 would work with our BEAMS? If yes, what can it control, if no, why? also would our stock ECU keep on relearning stock mapping with these? thanks! here's a link BTW:

Yes & No.

Piggybacks you can install on pretty much anything that can take a piggyback....so any Fuel Injection car/engine/ECU.

No most won't do VVTi or VVTLi or VTEC or VVL or any of that jazz, I wouldn't wanna mess with that anyways, Toyota did a VERY good job on the VVTi timing....they do spend millions of $ on this sort of a thing.
ALL piggybacks available control fuel injectors & sometimes spark/ignition timing based mostly on vacuum/boost signal, either intercepted or thru a supplied sensor.

What do you want a piggyback for anyways? Turbo-charging?

long term yes (on turbocharging) in the mean time I just want to get the most out of my engine by being able to control fuel and ignition mapping, so basically I can use this to do those right? without having to mess with VVTi, would this work with our ECU? would'nt it relearn itself like with SAFC if used with our engines? thanks!

It probably will relearn indeed. I am not sure, though my *old* 5SFE did do exactly this every time, so assuming things got only more advanced with Toyota, it would suggest the BEAMS ECU will do the relearning trick too.

Now why would you want to run a piggyback on an already very Very VEry VERy VERY well tuned engine? Running different injectors? Fuel pump?
