BEAMS Condenser

Hey EVERYBODY (Harry Caray -accent) !!!1!'

It's been a while since I last made a post.....
What's the deal about condensers on the BEAMS engine? Do we have any at all? Do we use any at all? Do need to have them at all?

I have one laying here around my garage and can't recall if it came from the 5S-FE engine days or if I should reinstall it somewhere?

You guys have any insights on these things & what to do with them? I suppose they are there to stabilize or clean up the electrical interference/fuzz or radio fuzz from high current spark/coil systems, am I correct about that?

Yeah, after some thinking about it, I removed this one from the LHD (driver side) shock tower, it was sitting there unplugged to anything & looked really old & probably from the 5S-FE.....what are their ultimate purpose in the car??

I am willing to bet you mention your nemesis SRK more than anyone on this board

What the hell are you guys talking about? A condenser is for the AC and is in front of the radiator, how is it bolted to the block?

I think they call it the radio filter.

Doesnt it stop electrical interference, or something?

That's what I suppose it does too, but the way I figure it to be is that it's for the type of wiring that uses those single huge coils to deliver spark to all 4 plugs. I would imagine it would cause quite a bit of distortion over the entire car body if not also the 12v(+) wiring from each impulse from one huge coil.
Since our engine/wiring is all COP, is why I wonder what we need them for, other than to dampen the alternator perhaps?

Hit the floor & give me 20!!!

It is my supreme decision that you Sir, shall not make a single comment until your BEAMS has been decided to no longer participate in the Most Esteemed BEAMS Not Running Club. Until such decision is made I shall closely regard your commentaries to said board to be in direct violation of Me, El Supremo BEAMSo Grande Deluxo.
