Using O2 sensor with redtop headers on a greytop
Hello again fellow BEAMS people. Obviously there is no bung for the O2 sensor on redtop headers and I have a set I want to use on my greytop to get rid of the cats of course. I do have a flange cut to have a b-pipe welded to. The guy who does my exhaust work is good, he just needs to know what to do.
I have heard of some guys running without the O2 sensor hooked up, but also seem to find people having issues running without one. Also, if I do need the sensor, will there be an issue using one on the b-pipe I will have made? I already have a decent muffler set I will be welding the b-pipe to with a flex pipe somewhere in between it all to reduce vibrations. I plan to merge the two 2" pipes off the header flange into 2.5" piping back to the muffler, followed by short 3" piping to a 4" tip. That setup is close to what I have been using for a while minus the redtop headers and a flex pipe. What would be your advice and experience with a setup like this? Thanks! |
