Beams Owners Group Changes

We would love some input to the changes that have been made with the condensing of the Beams engine sections and the implementation of the colored thread prefixes.

We would also like to hear some comments and ideas with what changes you would like to see in the future with the forum and the website. As a small but growing community inside of a larger community, we feel that the members who frequent this section have a say in what goes on with the group and all are welcome to submit ideas and comments to improve our community. We can't advance or improve the group without feedback and support from our members and would like to take this time to thank all who have helped in the past and the future.

While I do like some of the recent changes. Mostly because I agree that there was too many sections for so 'few' overall posts at this time. Although, if in the future this section get's large enough to support/require that kind of division it wouldn't be a major problem to go back to it.

The one thing I don't like was going to the BFS/WTBB prefix in the FS area... seems unnecessary and something about it just seems too redundant. As it's in the BEAMS sub-forum & for sale category which makes it seem pretty obvious to me.

Also, regarding the new prefix's/color coding. Perhaps instead of spelling out the full blacktop/redtop/greytop we use BT/RT/GT to make it a shorter easier browse. While still maintaining the use of color coding for an easy visual reference... although the 'grey' is a little more difficult to 'pick up' visually since it's a lot closer in color to the background than the others.

IMO

It's neater than it was before! I never understood why it changed to so many sections before and really haven't looked since it did as it was too much of a trawl through but it looks much better now and I've started looking back.

...I don't know what you do with colours, the only gen 4 engine available in the MR2 was the red top so seems natural on an MR2 club to give red user names as at the end of the day it is an MR2 forum if you even pursue with colours?

In my eyes It's nice to see a forum change again -rather than just batter on adimant with the new format. I wish other forums changed their ideas rather then stick with what they thought was right.

PS: Is it still paypal only on contributing because I'd gladly chuck in a few £ for site costs as I've got allot out of the BEAMS section -I offered before but not through paypal then or now.
