BlackTop Manual

If anyone needs an Engine Manual for the 1998 Toyota 3S-GE BlackTop let me know. I accidently bought this thinking it was for the Redtop. Luckily it was only 20 bucks so its not like im out a crapload of money. Ill scan it for you and send it to you electronically.

This Manual is in Japanese, I dont think there are any Manuals in English. The pictures can help sometimes.

Your working on the Red Top Manual? Is it the MR2 one or the Celica one?

Id really love a scan of atleast the ECU pages first, still having issues wiring my BEAMS up!

No rush of course

Hurry UP!

Actually once the scan is complete I could compile them all into a nice little PDf too if you like!

Im actually gonna go buy a Redtop Manual this weekend if i cant find one at the local book offs (used book sales).

The blacktop manual should be done tomorrow night. We have a machine that will scan every page of a book at work and email it to me. I just gotta get my boss to setup my email address into so i can get. I hassled him monday about and said he should be able to get to it this wednesday.

If not, this weekend ill take the time to scan the book page by page.

yeah, when i get the manual, the first thing done will be the wiring pages.

I do have the blacktop manual collecting dust at work. I'll probably scan it and pack it away with other car stuff for when i head back to the states.

for the blacktop? I don't have the wiring book for the blacktop, i only have the mechanical side of the book.

Thanks for the info....but I'm looking for black-top specific information. Do you know of any sites that might have them? I've tried multiple is300 and altezza forums with no luck

yeah, i have no idea, a website you might try asking on is the celica website that is on the links page of the beams website, those guys were pretty nice to me when i was asking for information.

Its on the to do list. Im scanning all my MR2 publications that i have been collecting over the past year while in japan. and of course my scanner is really slow so its taking forever.

Ill bump it up on the To do list. Although if i get the redtop manual back from my buddy, that takes priority.

hey everyone, ill do the blacktop manual tonight, It is in Japanese though. I personally don't have the time or the need to translate it or spend the money to translate it.

But i don't mind taking 20 minutes out of my uneventfull evening (still waiting on parts for my engine) and scanning it.

I CANT READ IT, but the pictures help out. The Blacktop manual does not include the wiring diagrams, sorry.

Hey this would actually help me out a whole lot, as I need to see what the differences are compared to the redtop, so I can organise what Altezza bits I will need to put on my redtop that's going into the carina.

So far it's:

Intake manifold, exhaust, sump/oil pickup, maybe oil pump housing, maybe rear water outlet. (Which I think they may have possibly moved to the front, where one of the engine mounts go!
