RedTop Manual

Well, i went down to toyota today to pick up the engine and wiring manual and they didnt have them in stock. So i ordered them but for some reason, said it would take month to get here So as soon as i get them, ill start translating the wiring for people to use since that seems to be the biggest problem people have right now.

Not sure why that is, a damn month...what are they going to print a copy for me?

The price though was actually outstanding, cost me $40 bucks for both manuals.......Im quite happy about that.

I don't have my books yet, i did order them, but if someone can officially confirm that those are the wiring diagrams for the beams redtop, i will translate them tuesday and post them that evening. Something like that shouldn't take me more than a few hours.

(wow, that was really hard to write drunk, took me 10 minutes)

I don't know why, but they said it takes a month to get the books from there warehouse from the city of Toyota. But i can get a part like a rotor in 3 days.

Its been almost 6 weeks. I think the guy forgot or something and is covering his tracks by BSing to me. (or i think he is, i cant understand japanese)

redtop beams going into my celica....wiring should be close or similar....its better than having as much as i have right now, which is nothing....

the wiring images are from caldina as far as i know, which is grey top, but i dont see why the wiring would be any different since its the same engine, apart from the trans

nope got the redtop as a clip with complete wiring harnass.

i got her fired up today, i was so freaking happy about it!
i swear i danced around the garage for like 15mins, all the crew made fun of me.
this was after i wasted a whole day trying to figure out (reverse engineer) all standard wiring....

I wonder if it will all work or if i will have issues like WFX has and end up with wires that go nowhere.
I wanna do it all proper and also figure out where the OBD wires go/come from.

which brings me to the following question, is this thing OBD1 or OBD2 ?? The plugs make no sense, more than half the wires are missing from it....

If you want the english version of that diagram PM me. Have a proper english version from toyota.

Now in saying that. Can someone confirm that the the ECU loom only has two plugs that plugs into the ECU and the other two plugs are from the body loom and does any one have the body loom section. I have yet to ask my contact about getting that part o fthe manual.

I am getting a manual translated but might be some time away, cos he is doing it in his spare time. But from the stuff I have got i can't see why a motor cannot be wired up.

I was wanting info about the assembly etc of the engine rather than the wiring side of things.

Are the valves in the redtop/silver top titanium like the dual Vvti?? cos they don't look it. But can't see why they are wanting soooo much money for them as replacements.
