Also the mk2 n/a exhaust is fine because its the same oem exhaust for the BEAMS. The only thing that i would change would be the na mk1 fuel pump but seems to be fine since you arent complaining about the fuel pump cutting out. Heat shouldnt make that big of a difference. 160whp is the what most people should be getting but seems some people are low on power for various reasons. Big section to look at is your intake system. What position are you running the AFM? Are you using stock airbox? Aftermarket filter? |

What did you mean by fuel pump cutting out. Is it some kind of... fuel cut before the 190km. Because I hit that cut off at approx 180 (GPS certified). I had a fuel pump from MK1 SC that I could use.
Is the 10.7 Air/Fuel Ratio could make that huge difference in term of power.. Maybe as I think. This is why I will have to find a Emanage Ultimate this winter. Last edited by Stados; 09-05-2008 at 10:32 PM.. |

What he means is if the fuel pump cannot feed the new engine well enough. I had this trouble, I had to replace the stock fuel pump to a bigger one, otherwise my engine didn't get enough fuel. |

Exactly if the fuel pump couldn't flow enough fuel for the the motor then you would probably stall at one point because you can't flow enough fuel. But if you are running rich then I wouldn't be worrying about it.
This low power epidemic is really got me puzzled. We should be getting steady 165-175whp STOCK. This what other na cars get with 197-200 ps ie integra typeR 02 usdm rsx typeS. I'm going to do some research and hopefully get to the bottom of this. |

But as I could see, Maybe my MAF is to near of the air filter, and probably ECU shoot more Fuel because MAF read more air than received by engine.
I probably get more HP if I was not that rich. Here a picture of engine bay, without K&N air filter, but we could see the maf readly near of air filter. http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w...out-2k8006.jpg I probably have to relocate it If I want to add more distance beween air filter and MAF. Thanks a lot. |

Yes I already seen that... but I've no space my filter is 2 inch from the firewall with my current setup. I'll have to redesigne it.

I would suggest you first have a look at whats involved in getting a beams into a MR2 . The clip your most likely to find is the celica. Look at the thread celica to MR2 . It will cost a pretty penny to start. Then to do the other things your going to need CelicaRA45 parts.
Which will be double what you paid for your car. Best for him to quote but last time i saw it was around $25,000 for the mods ![]() |
