17k, thats roughly 10 000€
how much hp and torque are you getting for this money? rev limit? is this to fit MR2 or celica? looking into possibilities for a trackday car/engine build |

the 1 i am doing at the moment will have a red line of 8800 rpm and most of these will make about 170 to 180 to 190 kws at back wheels or front wheels if you like on a dyno dynamic dyno
this 1 with std valves i would say looking at his ex haust headers about 170 to 175 kws with 48mm quads the rear wheel drive will make more but it has bigger valves 2 stage injection bigger throttles as in 50mm, quads and 8 injectors and also a special exhaust header as well and big airbox these make very good torque from about 4500 up till 7500 its very flat torque curve |

Had an impromptu base line dyno session today. The results are as follows from a Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer. Pic of the dyno sheet to follow. I definitely need some kind of EMS because the power drops off well before 7000rpm.

Wow, quite a difference between runs, given that only difference is the rubber spacer thing!

The rubber in the end of the filter, that allow free air flow. Yes this is the only difference between run 1 and the two others. So 159.3 HP at some kind of low RPM with cap on to 165.1 at 700 rpm more.

i don't know if it's ok to bump this thread, but i got my beams MR2 dyno'd last weekend, and here is the result:
![]() car is completely stock, and hp's are crank hp's. does anyone know how i could get rid of that dip in the torque curve? |

For those that want numbers until i revise my set up.
With 7 psi at 7,300 rpm its 218 HP at the wheels OH BTW 4th gear at 200kms/hr UPDATE , Taking of inlet to SC thus removing restrictor, not tunned , no intercooler , its up to 270 HP at the wheels thats > 200 kws at the wheels. More than the dam evo m rex and the VW R32 ! AFTER THE NECESSARY CHANGES Should be hopefully 240 KWS 320 HP at the wheels Last edited by MANDALAY; 10-05-2010 at 08:06 AM.. |

drop in the top end usually attributed to restrictive muff or the entire exhaust system for that matter... look for a decent JASMA muff.. (straight through if single or chambered if your doing twin exhaust)... increase your piping diameter to as much as 2.5"... as long as ther's no issues on your engine, this could imrpove your top end...HTH

Here is the Dyno.
FYI 7,300 RPM injectors 75 % duty Intercooler is very effecient only 8 degrees over ambient temp Rotrex oil even with all the power runs only hit 51 degrees celcius. Comment was that there is still a lot adjustment available in the timing and the low temps that i could have run a higher compression ratio than the 8.9 that i built. But its very safe tune and just to be sure extra fuel is added at 7,300 rpm. Thats the reason for the curve downwards ![]() Also the second dyno is compared to an import MR2 Turbo. Look at the difference between the Rotrex SC and a Turbo MR2 ![]() Last edited by MANDALAY; 01-14-2012 at 05:34 PM.. |

You know Puretone, besides the power run that i have compared /overlaid on mine i have yet to see a dyno with a 4th gear pull besides Glenns.
All i have seen is 3rd gear pulls . Update are there any dynos out there not posted ? |
