Have I set A new NA SW20 record?

For shocking fuel economy?

290kms of travel, consumed 43 litres of 98 octane....

6kms per litre, or in caveman terms 14 miles per gallon.

However from the time I had a full tank, to the time I refilled it with 43 litres, I was only ever taking the car out for a cane the whole time.
That's 290kms of damn good fun right there.

When driving sensibly however, it's actually more economical than my gen 2 3SGE, so I cant complain!

Not really.

You are taxed a lot less on gasoline then we are in Washington.

And a TON less then they are in BC.

I remember paying something like 97 cents a gallon, and that was not THAT long ago. I wish we could go back to those prices,

~$3.25/gal here on Long Island.
It was above $3.50 a few weeks ago.

Im a bit of a youngin (22) but I remember in HS I could fill my ten gallon tank and get $5 back from a 20.
$15 to fill my tank and now its close to $30.
And that's only over about 5 years.
I cringe to think what it's going to be in another 5 if things continue as such.

On topic, Exxon hit record profits the other day, bringing in over 10 Billion in the second quarter.

I managed 8mpg with a tank of gas in my MR2 when it was 5sfe-powered. I was going about 120mph for nearly the entire tank.

Yep well I'm gonna take mine to the dyno the first opportunity I have.

Do you mean 210whp, or 210 at the fly? I would assume WHP.

Mine's fairly standard though, my grunty engine wont be in the car for quite some time yet.

BTW 'Celica RA45' is alledgedly pulling 240whp now, but I havent been able to get hold of him to get an up to date dyno plot.

Also he's doing a 13.1 second quarter mile with a 3SGE, not a bad effort for a car that isnt set up for that at all.

I am paying 35 CZK for 1 liter of 100 octane fuel. 35 CZK is 1,57 USD. 1 galon is 3,785 liters. So result is 5.94 USD for 1 galon of 100 octane fuel.

We don't have anything like ICBC here.

If you don't pay for insurance from a seperate, non-government-subsidized company, (Not like any other kind of insurance company exists in the States) you don't get insurance.
