Running your own wires direct from the battery on it's own relay(s) etc will do quite a bit for you....I would just for curiosity's sake check what volts run to the fuel pump on MR2's, I have never had the chance to check those yet....ACC on and have your volt meter plugged into the terminal where the pump connects. If you have peak/hold functions on your voltmeter, then give those a go and see what the range is during just startup, idle after warm up, idle after a good run, perhaps if you can have a buddy check the volts while going full-boogey, LOL. that tank is located in a messed up place btw |

Will do puretone on the weekebd.
Got my swirl pot that l designed for my A/W set up Pretty cool.It will sit in the location where some cars have a cruise contol actuator. Also using its factory spots to mount it. It has in and outlets, drain, thread for temperature probe , radiator cap and spill pipe going to a Celica GT4 OEM resivour catch pot. Also to eliminate any possible vibration sounds i used rubber boots that Toyota uses to hold down the air conditioner radiator. l also made some aluminium pipe work for the A/W to route water from the front of the engine to the back. The bracket for this is mounted to the stays that hold the fuel lines near the air box. Will post pictures soon. Im supervising the machining of the bracket and i must say its very nice. |

![]() ![]() A few teasers of the supercharger bracket bieng made. Told you it was going to be CNC'd from a biggggg piece of billet. Its a hell of a lot of waste but the surrounding aluminium was used to make jigs so the block could be held down. Also ALL dimensions stored in CAD program so replicating the same part is easily done if anyone wants to venture down the same road. Last edited by MANDALAY; 02-08-2009 at 08:50 AM. |

Getting there. Its a slow process because im not paying full price for machining. They put my job it when the machine is free.
That piece has to go through 3 machines and 4 stages. We are looking at about 24 hrs work time. |

^ you just want to add numbers to this post dont you !
![]() Seriously if they charged me full price that bracket would be > $1000 , calculate it 30 hrs of preping, scanning , CAD and finally machining. Cant see anyone else doing this, but thats the price of doing something different and prototyping ![]() Im sure China could reproduce it for 50 bucks. Having my mate maybe price it when he goes to China again for his speakers. BTW you should see it all on my donor engine by late next week. |

WIN!
this one, Wayno's ST184-BEAMS thread, followed by PHOENIX's turbo-thread.... I am all for CNC'd Billet any day of the week, getting it done afterhours by other diehards of the custom-built industry gives it even waaaaaaaaay more points in my book! I wish I had the time & money && space to be doing more to my BEAMS'd rig... |
