There you go a Rotrex fitted under the manifold, coldside of the engine.
Now for the real purist Turbo rods , forged pistons, get rid of the restrictor and i think given the 2zz can put 325WHP the BEAMS should get 350. WAY INSANE. As i said ill be happy with 240 WHP. FANTASTIC TO SEE ONE ITB ONE TURBO ONE SC on the BEAMS !!!!!!!! |

What have you got sugar free redbull for?
You dont get the full octane boost in your fuel unless you use the good stuff. |

Oh, and I take it that's your spare beams motor?
I remember being a beams whore, and having two. *sigh* Those were the days hahaha. I dont think anyone else is gonna beat Glenn though, when it comes to hoarding motors. ![]() |

Ive made a new pipe coming out of the Rotrex. Much smaller radius 90 degrees. Will weld it on rather than use silicon tube
Also had a good look under the car and everything can be put in without dropping the engine or taking anything off, except the inlet manifold to change the injectors. However will take the harness out to modiify . Dont want to solder over the car |

What seems a long time, well really it has been , FINALLY i have the final pipes for my set up. The alignment is spot on. THAT WAS A REAL PITA. Using the spare eyelets on the gear box was a great idea but getting it machined at the correct angle was very frustrating, 4 attempts were required. A little hand sanding and ill post some more pics.
Then all the pipes are off to be sand blasted and then powder coated black with a wrinkel finish. Not to sure yet to go gloss or flat, The bracket , the back of the ROTREX and A/W Intercooler will also be powder coated whereas the main body of the ROTREX will just get a light coat of the spray can, Next will be the brackets for the hard pipes aluminium for the cooling water and the bracket for the flex hoses for the oil lines and IC. |

Contacted a few powder coat people and have settled on ripple flat black. looks very stock finished that way. Gee wont even have to sand blast the parts as the powder coat will give the same texture.

Here we go guys, all supercharger hardware has been done and sanded and is ready to be powdercoated
1 - take one celica beams alternator bracket and give your self pleanty of room to install the supercharger ![]() 2 - Rotrex supercharger sitting happliy on the bracket ![]() 3 - Revised outlet pipe to hug closer to the engine block bieng hidden from view by the inlet manifold ![]() 4 - inlet and outlet pipe sitting on the supercharger, sitting on the block (restricter will be bored out now given the internals of the block will be forged) ![]() 5 - section A of the inlet pipe showing the return of the blow of valve back into the inlet of the supercharger ![]() 6 - section A again showing how it is bieng secuired to the spare lug on the gearbox ![]() 7 - the pipework was moulded around all original pipes, wires so as not to interfeer with anything stock ![]() 8 - section A of the outlet with the stock blow off valve from a 3SGTE ![]() 9 - both sections A and B mounted, again useing the spare mounts on the gearbox ![]() 10 - pipework connected without the intercooler showing how close everything is ![]() 11 - Intercooler bracket welded to stock mr2 engine mount bracket ![]() 12 - PWR Water to Air Intercooler ![]() 13 - stock blow off valve in postion, with exit clearly shown to go into the inlet pipe of the rotrex. recirculating, no wanker sounds for me ![]() 14 - another angle of the previous photo ![]() 15 - main inlet pipe to throttlebody this pipe is a 2 way diverter, its meant to look as if it was just one inlet going form the airbox to the throttle body, BUT air from the airbox is directed down to the inlet of the rotrex, the other side has the air coming into the pipe and going to the throttle body, the factory hose will be cut accordingly and mounted onto this pipe ![]() 16 - all finished... ![]() 17 - factory inlet air pipe form airbox to throttle body, will be cut accordingly, notice the bung hole for the air temp sender and also the little moulding on top to hold the standard vacuum hose to the charcoal canister ![]() Last edited by MANDALAY; 04-11-2009 at 01:54 AM. |

Wow, that looks SOOO cool!
So where are you mounting the intercooler radiator? I like how it all looks so clean and stock, if it were mine i wouldn't mind it being a bit showy, but what i like is how well you managed to accomplish that goal, and all the parts look almost exactly as if they came with the engine, and this is before powder coating. Thanks for all the nice pics! |
