Pretty sure there's a rubber ring inside the standard pulley?

Well there you go. I checked the crank pulley on the spare engine and what i thought was just grease/scum is actually rubber. I dont think i will be changing it. To put a solid pulley where there is a harminic balancer is not a good thing. So ill look for the best 4 rib i can buy.

So our Aussie N/A has that plate and a fan on it.
Im replacing the fan with the SETRAB oil cooler with intregal fan for the ROTREX.
The fab will be controled with the MoTec and come on at 39 degrees celcius.
BTW i will make another plate , baffel, to hold the oil cooler with the opening to match the fins of the cooler

Question on oil temp sender.
One thing ild like to point out every model engine after 95 has a 2 pan set up, one piece alloy the other pressed steel.
On the alloy piece where the filter screws in, there are 3 grub screws around it.
They are about M14. 2 point forwards to the pulleys with the 3rd parallel to the oil filter.
Now they could be there due to closing off the machining done for the oil galleries.
But since they are there how about if i use one of them ?
Has anyone ever used them for this purpose, or why are they there ?

Gee if you look at the oil pump you will also see another grub screw M14 ? but the cam belt cover , covers it.

Now for the oil circulation there is in and out, obviously for the filter and the pump and all these grub screws have the passage to this circulation .............
Any one ever notice this ?

How about you Oldsoul45 since you have your engine apart. What do you reckon ?

I forget what engine it was, but I remember telling one guy to use exactly that spot for his turbo build as well....I think it could have been a 5S.
I say use it.
From what I figure, Toyota probably used that for something else in earlier S-series engines, not just for the machining procedures. I should google a bunch of S-series engines pictures....

Angelo, my mate has used these for sensors before on his ge3 3sge in an st162. did the job fine. I've been thinking of doing the same for mine but i'm just a bit cautious with mine clearance wise. for you should be sweet

While doing a search on Altezza turbo builds ive seen that a few of them have used those points as the the oil supply for the Turbo .
Cool , thanks guys will use the one parallel to the oil filter as there is plenty of room.
For the oil temp sensor

Its interesting finding those grub screws. The way i see it is that oil post pump goes into the base of the filter. It either goes into the filter or back into the sump through the regulator. That line has one grub screw closer to the crank pulley.
Or the next line after the filter has 2 grub screws in line, one facing the pulley side while the other facing the oil filter.
As DA HORSE suggested will use these 2 one for oil temp while the other oil pressure

Need some more thoughts on another thing.
After the last MR2 turbo Toyota went to the Gen 4 turbo in the Caldina .
Every model after and including the st215 has a dampener on the fuel rail. What do you guys reckon ?
