Yep the red part that goes on the head is just a plastic facade, He'd have just taken it off while working on it so he doesnt scratch it up or whatever.
You need to take that cover off to change the sparkplugs and/or coilpacks. Still the same head. ![]() |

![]() This is the circuit board i designed. Its the factory 122 pin connector but i also have the middle plug. That way all the MoTec senders have its own cable run. Also i have may other spares there for any onther things i might need in the future. Makes connection to the MoTec clean with no loose wires all over the place. BTW I WILL HAVE 8 OF THESE FOR SALE 2 ![]() This bracket was made so as to hold the Rotrex oil reservior and magnetic filter. Final beveling of corners need to be done then its off to get powder coated. 3 ![]() It final resting place will be where the cruise control actuator normally resides. Also it will be close to me double fan set up ![]() Last edited by MANDALAY; 08-08-2009 at 03:19 AM. |

![]() Sitting under the side panels. Once powder coated it will disappear ![]() ![]() Final resting space. The baffel that holds the fan is currently under construction. As you will see the fan on the Setrab oil cooler will also help in cooling the Rotrex oil canister and the magnetic oil filter ![]() Part finished and sandblasted . Ready for powder coating Last edited by MANDALAY; 08-10-2009 at 08:56 AM. |

XLR connectores. Left is for the MoTec 800 CAN cable while the right one is for headphones for the knock sensors to monitor each cylinder 2 MY CUSTOM MoTec 800 box in the making 3 4 5 Air filter location for the MAP sensor. Used the mystery nipple on the manifold to supply the air to the sensor. Again only used factory locations for mounting. 6 7 8 9 ![]() Used the top of a Lexus ECU for a factory ECU look. Once finished ill add the Toyota sticker All the wiring will be made inside the box. From the ouside all there will be is the harness plugs. The centre one which is not used in the Beams is there to add all the other sensors for the MoTec 800 and will be bundled with the engine loom 10 ![]() 11 12 13 ![]() Last edited by MANDALAY; 08-25-2009 at 02:35 PM. |

Yep oil pressure black plug , oil temp blue plug.
The double tapped theads adapters for the sensors were a real pain in the xxxx. They are Neutrik with iso standard for outdoor use, moister environment |

good looking build....... plenty of bits. why powdercoat????? you cant check for cracks and it chips .... i use Electromould for plating bits or get them polished and spray with a clear coat if alloy.. I heard benica are doing your engine build how that going. why not use the beams guru ........ he has runs on board..... and is proven.... im flat chat w the beams sump and one for customer .....ill post a picture soon
