HAHAH man you sound more mad than me. But im going to try to get it welded, i found some welders that will do it without feeling "liable". I just wont ask for a receipt. Pans already messed up, might as well try anything. If that doesnt work, ill have to buy one from Australia. Wish me luck. Thanks for the support.

I think that this oil pan will work. The engine has the same block setup and the pans have the same mate face I THINK. Ask for many pics.

Good luck and please let me know if it will work.

That's a gen 4 he linked you to.

I dunno if the 3sgte gen 4 is interchangable, but if it is. All you might have to do is plug off an oil return... Although, according to mandalay only a beams pan will work.

Post 14 has the pics and it looks to be exactly the same.

Check it out. I think it will work. All you would have to do is make a blockoff for the turbo oil drain. On the beams pan it is not machined for the drain.

Please let me know.

Either find some one willing to sell you one or l can help with new ones, Remember your exchange rate is the best its been for years here
$1 usd = 0.6 Aussie
But the shipping is the killer.
Remember though YOU WILL NEVER BE LEFT WITHOUT being able to get a part
BUT it could be dear
SORRY
I should point out when i said " is the only fit "
I should have said they are the same part numbers. As far as retrofiting other car parts im at a loss as l used only the Beams parts.
Sorry if that has caused any confusion ........................

sump

ok 1st thing is ,put some kerosene over the weld on the inside to make sure it doesnt leak about 10mm of height over it should tell you if it will leak .
if it does, clean it up with petrol let dry and smear a bit of the toyota packing material that they use to seal the sump with ,over the welded section ,this will stop oil leeching through the pan

Did the guy told you what material he used to weld?
Or what type of material the pan was made of?

I need to do the same on mine (surface crack compare to yours) and my friend asked me those details

He used another piece of aluminum, but the "solder", im not sure what it was. All he mentioned was he had to use a type of "solder" because it was aluminum.

Hey guys, I tried putting the oil pan in today and find it a lil warp like.

IMG_0050.jpg picture by soneebahbah - Photobucket

IMG_0051.jpg picture by soneebahbah - Photobucket

IMG_0052-1.jpg picture by soneebahbah - Photobucket

Im going to get the oil pan cork gasket for this since it's a lil thicker.

Will this help the gap?

Could it be the welding that warped the aluminum pan?

Unfortunately welding aluminium is an art. You have to heat it up. The warping is due to the amount of heat it soakes. The part is thin and also it is cast which means it is porous
Also if thats out you going to have to see if the face aligns with the gear box ?
