Tons of beams 3sge's at Jhot
eBay Motors: JDM Toyota Celica ST202 Beams 3S-GE LSD VVTi Engine Set (item 120347682512 end time Dec-16-08 19:00:00 PST)
eBay Motors: Toyota Celica ST202 3S-GE Beams VVTi LSD Engine Set (item 140288114587 end time Dec-16-08 19:00:44 PST) They will also have some beams 3sge's available with automatic tranny for an even lower price later on. With the available engines, you could probably have a running swap for around $2500 or less with the AT swaps....even including the cost of my wiring. |

I really wish I had waited and bought from them. They are a great company and wise in their business.

lol so true, they even provide lots of extra parts that you need for the swap but no other company has even offered besides buying a clip.

It's overkill the stuff that they give you. Better than a clip sometimes. They give you a fuelpump a lot of times. Most clips won't have that.
Every motor from them has been very clean internally. The one exception I saw was a few years ago when a guy ended up with a sludgy blacktop. Not even necessarily bad, just not maintained. Fortunately he was local, and they swapped it out for him with no hassle. They were very apologetic. Lots of importers wouldn't do a thing. |

I would really like one of those motors to swap into my 5spd 93 Corolla wagon but was scared off by their shipping quote of $700USD to Victoria, Canada. Is that a reasonable amount to pay for shipping all that...seems a bit on the high side IMO.

Shipping to British Columbia is going to be stiff. Not only is it a long way, it's crossing boarders as well. You might try and track one down closer to you.

That's very reasonable considering they are on the complete opposite end of America. I bought from a company in Montreal worst service ever though cheap but I have had many problems because of that. I highly recommended using them you wont regret it like I did.

Thanks guys!
If I'm not able to source a motorset as complete / clean as this locally, I will bite the bullet and will pay for cross continent shipping. Worse case, if the local shops can only source longblocks with 5spd FWD trans, I should be able to source the remaining parts here! |

If all you can find is a motor and tranny (or even just a motor), you'll only need a few other items to make it work. I can make a harness from the cut harness you get with the motor. After that, the main thing you'll need is the ecu.

daCoupe,
You might want to try these guys. I don't know what all they have, but they are close to you. This place is found in Lynnwood, WA. You might want to give them a call or drive down there. It's off of interstate 5 between Everett and Seattle. Good luck. Their website: Foreign Engines |
