blacktop/redtop beams sumps and baffling

Hi guys, can anyone tell me about whether the beams sumps would need or benefit from baffles being installed for track use, i have it in my head that because of the two peice design on the redtop it may already be well setup but not sure why, but i've not seen a blacktop sumps insides.
