Nah it's sweet... Even if there is another type of 1ZZ coil, the ones I've got definitely dont do the trick.

No big deal, just gonna be a few days until the other 'proper' ones arrive.

So glad that I got this sorted with the proper part number coils again (assuming they arrive and work properly), leaving the engine cover off the top of the beams motor to fit some other coil setup isnt an option...

She's an ugly beast under all that makeup.

Firing them up it'll work intially then because the ecu cant match the return signal to the firing of the coils it kills ignition after a couple cycles.

thats from the power-fc point of view, 1zz coils could be ok when using the stock ecu and wiring etc cause its still getting all 4 inputs, i guess it'll depend on the coils themselves, i'd go try it for you but i just pulled my redtop beams out of the celica two days ago.

Nice to see i've upgraded to the elusive and mysterious "they" though

Hey dude can you specify what each wire does on the COP side? Like which one is 12V +, GND, Trigger etc?

I am still trying to get this Digital Tach thing sorted, it uses a GMR pickup much like the MSD ones.....

yeah and no, i know its the same between 1zz and 3s but exacts i never checked, in the next few days i can after i sober up from this holiday

maybe mr220v has this info already though as he is pretty imtimate with the beams wiring, but i have my engine/loom out and i've split the loom and started tracing wires for another reason so yes i can tell you but not yet

i know what you guys mean about the engine looking a bit poo without its cover, its really boring
