Exclamation Need info

Well mates I'm new here, first of all I'm planing a engine swap for my Trueno AE92 and in first place I got in mind a 3SGE beams red top and I need that somebody here share some light. First I need to Know if the engine and tranny fits in the AE92 engine and tranny mounts, 2nd If it does, what would be the best modifications (con.rods, pistons, camshafts, air intake, valves, etc) if you can include the brands I'll be glad. I'll be thankfull if I can get some hints and info about it. Thanks

I suggest first you find and get yourself a Red Top if you can. Before doing any mods get it in and running first. You will be spending a bit just changing normal serviceable items. Mods = $$$$$$$$ regardless

Mate glad I found someone who makes beams parts cuz on this days I been looking all over the internet and cheking my messages in other celicas and MR2's forums and no body gives me the name or place to buy parts for this engine. Thats not the only problem some people tell me that its fit in my AE92 except for one engine mount others said that need all the mounts custom. The second problem is the rarity of this engine not like the others 3s engines, exp the 3SGTE thats is easier to find. The 3rd problem is my location, Puerto Rico, lets said a little bit far from Australia and the 4th and most important of all (and I don"t if it true) that this is the only 3S with VVT-i so I can't use parts from others 3s engines. Due to all this drawbacks I'm considering a 3SGTE swap from a MR2 (94-98) rather than a beams. the beams its good for a NA engine 195-200bhp but its a rare engine and rarity's means $$$$$ just for parts and the rest of the work???. If you can give some hints about this beams or the 3SGTE (engine mounts and other swaping problems) UVA!!! i'm all ears, thanks mate

I'm from Aruba, I have RedTop BEAMS in my ST184 Celica, no problems getting parts for it there....and I am the only one on the island with this engine. I think even between Aruba, Curacao & Bonaire, I am the only one with BEAMS hehe. Don't need turbo, the power it makes is enough, besides the island ends before I can use all the power & speed.
