yeah did dave a package deal on the engine and as i'm going blacktop beams in my rwd celica i'll probably be using a top mount turbo if i get that far so that lot seemed more usefull to him, its funny how projects evolve and kit changes hands

ok... almost what it was at first.. I'm the guy who first bought it from the original owner... had it for a couple months but never did my turbo project so put it up for sale, then your friend came to me and asked me for a trade (the complete turbo kit vs his ITB's)... I did it and ended up doing nothing with the ITB's so I sold them...

if the first owner told me the right thing you can make some good numbers with the kit, good luck in your project

from what I've been told by the first owner, this setup made 268rwhp on 100% stock beams engine with only SAFC-II and 630cc injectors at 8-9 psi

well build engine with 15-16 psi will bring power easily to 300rwhp so I think it's pretty good

I have the mish td06 22psi and good for 500bhp..was thinking that was too much and maybe a bit slow to spool up...so planned to change to a td05 good for 275bhp,with the updated internals I would like to get 290/300 so what do you think ...work on the td06 lag with a good margin or go with the td05 and run to it's limit....the manifold i have is for a four stud flange so limits my choice...think I know the answer to this but please chime in guys

if you use ATS 3sgte td06 20G setup as an example you can go around 400hp with upgraded fuel lines, computer and couple things added... but I heard they sucked gas fast as hell

I think td05 is enough for someone who wants to have fun, have a safe setup and daily drive his car

many thanks for all your input..I guess I knew I was going down the TD05 route but it's nice to have others views
going with the TD05 with the bigger internal wastegate and better fan should give a max of 350bhp and spools at 2500
so no lag...paid for it today £200...thought not too bad for new kit

^ could you possibly take a few pictures of your pistons. I know Dave sent a piston when he ordered them but i would love to see how closely they resemble the stock unit

Looking good. Regarding the ECU, it's probably better to decide who you want to map it and then using their prefered ECU, unless you're going to map it yourself?

why would you ever need an ECU with such pretty pistons? Don't they look good enough by themselves?!

Nice pistons
You need a better camera
Cant tell really but the centre of the piston is it convex, concave or flat ?
