Nice but I wish I had someone in Japan willing to pick it up and ship it out to me.

I inquired into this and almost bid on it until Nengun wanted $118 to ship it so I would have been looking at $140 altogether. I am gonna try to fab something up with the stock box and see how it does. Plus I am looking for another engine in the meantime and maybe I will find one with a box.

Sorry buddy , your going to have to bolt it down.
The clips have fallen off due to the fact the little plastic tabs that hold the clip are broken
And in Toyotas great wisdom you cannot buy those tabs or that part of the box, You have to buy the whole lot which also has the MAF
Inexcess of $550 mate

Trial and error buddy.

There is the thing that most of you are also not considering , is that , there are also 2 resonance chambers . What is the effect not having them , well dont know ?

Alot sometimes, trust me I have been doing this for a year now chasing parts. Just get the OEM factory piece and save yourself the headache.

As for resonators just use the ones of the 5SFE stock air box, they are similar if not the same.

Correct me but I haven't seen anything which states these are there other than to limit the intake noise only, they're not linked to anything performance wise. I ran without the "kidneys" on mine with stock air box and noticed no difference compared to when they were fitted anyway.

You are correct RST, the "kidneys" (which is quite clever since they filter noise out) are just resonance chambers and for sound muffling.
