I too have seen this community grow from nothing, and i've been really happy to watch it form into a close group. Im also happy that we have regular Beams owners who come here on a regular basis for good technical other types of conversations. Lots to learn from each other........ |

Hello everyone,
my name is Jeff and I am doing as much research as I can. I currently am saving up for a 99 beams engine to put in my 99 celica GT. I am having a hard time finding a motor for cheap. I saw someone can get one for $1,000. Can you hook me up!? cheapest that I have seen is $2000 on ebay. I belong to 6gc.net and there is only 2 swaps completed that I know of. If anyone finds a motor for cheap, pleaseee let me know. thanks. |

The beams doesn't have the standard diagnostic connector, what it does have is a port for a standard obd2 scan tool.

Hi!
I have a question. I read around here a bit among the threads and saw the pics you put up here from your engines. I discovered that there is a pipe on your engines that is missing from mine. It's the one that connects the intake manifold with the blue L-plug above the sparks (sorry I don't know the correct english word for that part of the engine). On my intake manifold the plug is closed with a piece of rubber but on the other side the blue plug is just seeing around the engine bay as periscope on a submarine :S What does this part do? And what does it cause if it's not there? Here is a pic to see more clearly what am I triing to talk about: ![]() Last edited by Lion_HUN; 07-03-2007 at 07:14 AM. |

I believe that typically goes to the brake booster. There is a hard pipe that runs by the strut tower that vacuum line is supposed to attach to.

When we found out I tried to live as much life as possible. That was 22 months ago. I offered to get her a new car but she didn't want one. She wanted a beams for her 5th gen celica vert. It's a beautiful car and now that she's gone I inherited it. The sad part is last year I began to run out of money so the car didn't get painted. She heard me express regret for not getting the body fixed and painted. She insisted on paying for the work as a birthday present to me. I've been so busy I couldnt get the car in the body shop till a couple of weeks ago. Right after I put the car in Julie's condition worsened And she never got to see the car done. I feel wicked guilty. And wickedsad |
