Help! front brake caliper reinstall problem

Posted 04-24-2009 at 04:17 AM by 420mr2
first post... I took off my calipers to get to my lower ball joints (they were acting up) everything went fine until i had to reinstall. First attempt I wasn't able to regain compression in the brakes (barely any, I would have to use my e brake if I wanted to drive anywhere) then I realized from my dad's advice that I didn't c clamp the piston all the way back in the caliper. Which I did the second time around, and gained full compression in my brakes after pumping them and adding new fluid, etc. I had perfect brakes for about a day and then lost compression again to the point where my car isn't driveable.

any ideas on what I did wrong?
