wiper motor issue!!

Has anyone replaced their wiper motor on a mk1 type Mr-2? I have a 1987 and my wiper armature came loose from the wiper motor. The motor is fine but I can't figure out how to access where you hook the armature to the wiper motor? Sure would appreciate any knowledge.
