86 window

Posted 07-27-2008 at 03:52 AM by FliptRanger
I just replaced my window gear, drivers side, it was sticking on the way up half way it would stop and I would have to lift and assist then all the way up it would click loudly and not shut off till I let off the switch. I replaced the gear, the old one is missing about 6 or so teeth and got my new one from twosRus.com and the problem is continuing. I need some help if you can
thanks -Ryan

I just replaced the gear, the motor pushes from bottomed out until half way up then it clicks in place and the window stays put, then i pull it over whatever stops it and it can get itself up to the shut position fine and then clicks in place and doesn't stop pushing up....

It did work up until a couple months ago, the motor doesn't quit when the window stops, it keeps pushing, is there another gear aside from the one I replaced on the motor?
