The joys of selling a car

Sometimes I'm quite amused (or quite annoyed depending on my mood) at some of the offers I get on cars I've had for sale. Here's one of the more recent ones. I'm not picking on the guy because there have been far worse.
Since I was busy that day, I cut to the chase with my reply.
He replied with the following. It's low, but I've had worse.
I've already had better offers, so I let him know that.
I found his reply to be rather comical.
I'm still not sure why I let an opportunity like that pass.
