Welcome to my blog.

Introduction to Ron Paul
Posted 09-09-2007 at 10:25 AM by Ncturnal
Those that know me know I've never had any interest in politics. The biggest reason for me was the lack of trust I had for political leaders regardless of party affiliation. That all changed when I first heard about Ron Paul. I saw a video about him on YouTube entitled "Stop Dreaming".
After watching that video I started researching Ron Paul a lot more and I like everything I've found out about him. If you are like me, Ron Paul is the candidate you've been waiting to vote for. He doesn't serve special interest groups evidenced by the fact that lobbyist don't even bother trying to contact him.
He voted against the Iraq war and that abomination called the Patriot Act. He has the most consistent voting record of any member of Congress and is working to return our country to Constitutional principles and very limited government. I encourage you to do some research and see for yourself. There are plenty of videos from the dabates on YouTube.com, etc. I'll post more later on.

He's at the libertarian end of the Republican Party. If you're really interested in what a Libertarian philosophy is all about, check out "For a New Liberty" by Murry Rothbard. Or anything by Hayek---"The Road to Serfdom" is a good one too.

I like him for his ideas on small government, economic policies, consistent voting record, and his ideas about non-interventionist foreign policy. The party tag doesn't really matter to me. Prior to him I wasn't even interested in politics because there hasn't been one worth voting for in quite a while now.

Right. If you want to keep up with ideas on limited govt., non-interventionist foreign policy, etc.; also check out www.fff.org (Future of Freedom Foundation).
