1991 NA Ball Joints

Posted 01-26-2009 at 10:55 PM by Ken92677
I am trying to purchase the correct ball joints for my 1991 MKII Non-Turbo. Perfect Cicle and MOOG parts ordered at two different auot parts stores do not fit in the spindle hub (see attached photo). The base is too large leaving the bolt tabs about .25" away from seating properly in the hub. This has to be a common problem as the parts I ordered looked like they had been returned from another frustrated owner/mechanic. Can anyone tell me if this is a common problem?
