Need Selling Advice

I have a 1987 MR2 (130000 miles) that I want to sell. I have no idea what to ask for it--my neighbor is offering $300 for it but that seems a little low even though it's not in the best condition but I could be wrong.
Problems:
Needs new tires
Needs a new battery
Has a cracked windshield
Rusting in places
It may have other issues but I honestly don't know what they are, if any. It seems to run fine when the battery is charged. The inside is clean.
I've owned it for 10 years but it has been sitting for 1.
Any advice on what to ask for it would be great...my husband knows nothing about cars.
I can post pictures later today.

First of all if it at least still drives 300 is very low. The high point of your 2 is the fact that the miles are low for its age. based upon the problems (if that is the only issues) you can still most likely make 1000 for it.
