t-tops leak like a faucet

so over the past few rainstorms i have noticed that my t-tops leak like a faucet, the water is coming in right between where the t-top meats the rest of the car, what is the best way to fix it? should i just buy new seals?

Your best bet is to replace all of the seals. Contact Aaron Willis at Lithia Toyota. He is a board sponsor and give us great prices on new OEM parts. His email is awillis@lithia.com. Meanwhile, I've read that cut up mousepads can serve as a temporary fix until you get the parts in. But since you have a second car, just leave the 2 in the garage until you get it fixed.

A cost effective solution I found was to slice up a strip from a spare computer mouse pad. Place that strip between the glass and the body of the car and it will seal it up nicely. No leaks. I had a leak to my MR2 T-tops and this solved it well. Total investment was about $3.00. It worked so well, I never replaced the expensive factory seal.

Good luck!

Let us know how it worked out if you decide to use this idea.
