Exclamation Please Help!!!

Hey guys, just joined and damn am I glad I found ya.

Soo..I have an 86 and it just got side-swiped by a bus and pushed onto a curb. I fixed everything exept I dont know what to replace my front struts with. I had Tokico Illuminas (adjstable) and I was just wondering what you guys think I should replace them with. I was thinkin just replace with the same shiit but Im having a hard time finding the part # to do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I dont have pics up right now but the previous owner made a webpage around my car and still keeps it up.

RPMlab.com ---> MR2 MK1 link

She was a beauty...now every pannel is banged and I need to do some serious work all around. I have a rare Eurosport bodykit...its one of the best ive seen (besides the Karmeleon one) but now my front is forever lost, as it was sucked under my car and spat out the back.

I need to replace these struts ASAP.

BTW i loved the Tokico Ill Adj...so if I could just get a part number or retailer for the front struts Id be in heaven

Wow...I just keep getting more confused. So the reason I cant use my struts is cause theyre tweaked from the accident and wont allign properly. Now Ive been reading up on strut assemblys and I dont get it. Can I just buy some reg strut assembly like KYB and just put my Tokico inserts and Eibach springs on it and then it'll be fine?

Some diagrams I look at show that the actuall Shock attaches to the steering knuckle...

When I look up my tokico inserts, its just the shock, with none of the bracket looking things I saw in the other diagrams.

Is a strut assembly the part that attaches to the steering knuckle and you can put ur own springs and shocks on it?

How long is the life expectancy of shocks (ex my Tokico Illuminas)?

If im goin to replace the front, should I replace the back, even if theyre not really causing a prob?

I race the hell out of my ride in the canyons and the previous owner AutoXed it...and Im guessing that theyre about 5 years old

OK OK...so I found that its just the inserts.

Anybody know the PN for the upper brackets that attach it up into the frame/body?

My suspension guy said he doesnt like Tokicos much...says they tend to leak

Anybody wanna tell me their opinion?
