id just get new pads and slotted rotors...unless you upgraded the engine or plan to and for the paint all you have to do is clean them with gas/brake cleaner/paint remover then rinse with water and dry completly and use hi-temp paint i did mine and theyre still looking good after a few months, also make sure you dont get paint on anything else or it looks like crap...

Lots of people like them.

Those look sweet! Only thing i dont like is that they sell the same rotor for all mr2's and don't seem to offer a set for the mk1, the picture has the 5 stud holes!

But other than that, really sweet

I picked them up from TwosRUs. I got the pads from horsepowerfreaks.

The rotors were very nice. My fronts decided to warp up...so I opted for the powerslots. Nice OEM fit and smooth operation. Quiet as well

I'd have to check them out. I can get a set of a seller from ebay who I dealt with before for like 350 (4 power slot rotors and pads) i think.

I was rebuilding my calipers about 9 years ago and decided to paint them. I got really good results with Duplicolor Engine paint (the 700 degree stuff not the high temp). Other than degreasing, I didn't do extensive surface prep and they are just now showing a little rust coming through. I was amazed at how durable that stuff is. It is also much easier to do a neat job if you take them off the car.

drilled and slotted why?

hey I just started painting mine I use Dupli-color caliper paint kit from autozone it was only $10. and bought some new front calipers $30 a peace. it looks good so far, cant wait till i get them on!!
i'll post some pics.

I was told not to waist my money on drilled and slotted rotors there more for slowing down from a 120mph all day. but I guess they do help.

I was told (and this is from a guy who owns a race shop and trying to sell me $120 set of front brake pads (he seen that I wasn't going to buy them i guess)) have my rotors turned and buy ceramic brake pads. he said cus the car is so light you don't have to have all that stuff and it will still stop on a dime. I got the ones from autozone cus they have lifetime warranty. the only problem is they didn't have any ceramic for the back so I got organic ones only $17 ceramics are $55 but now they don't cost anything for new ones

i went and got ceramics a while back for my front, but haven't put em in yet. Do that guy at the race shop you were talking to really think ceramic pads are that great?

Also why didn't you get the ceramics for the front and do whatever in the back? It it important to have the same pads all round is it? And really if it gives me better braking i'm always willing to spend a bit of extra money when buying pads, because it comes down to safety, especially if you're going to drive the car hard and fast it's nice to know you'll stop fast.

The ceramic I think stays cooler than regular pads and they don't leave dust all over your wheels and I think they won't groove you rotors and they stop better as well. so I'm told. I got my pads from autozone and they don't have ceramic pads for the back and it shouldn't mater what you have front or back as long as they match across from each other. The front is where you wont the ceramics anyway it does something like 70% of the braking.

My calipers I got at autozone they where $30 a peace but you have to take them your old ones as a core if not is $27 more per caliper. My calipers where fine I was worried about the back ones when i was looking at them cus the rubber looks really old but they should be fine and the front ones well they where so cheap I couldn't pass up the rears where $100 each cus they screw out and have the park brake stuff. Oh and my caliper that I got say toyota on them but the boxes say FENCO on them. I think that company just rebuilds them.
