hmmmmm I found that a bitch to fix, it happened to me and my solution was cutting a big hole in the frame then tacking a new nut in place and holding it with a spanner as well. Heres the kicker that was double skinned there so was hard to patch up nice when I was done, I actually used a piece of thick steel welded flush to cover the square hole I had body sawed, if you were careful enough with a hole saw you could make a factory looking hole and then just hold a nut with a spanner through the hole.

For lack of a better term, I am calling the piece that the suspension arm and strut rod attaches to -- the rear suspension bracket (RSB).

The inner bolt hole (that is missing the bolt) appears to be quite elongated. From the picture, I am assuming that both layers of the RSB are elongated and the circular hole is part of the frame.

A possible solution would be to remove the RSB, then have a stud welded into the frame hole. Variations on the theme: Instead of removing the RSB, you might be able to loosen the entire RSB in order to center the frame hole and the elongated RSB hole and then try to weld a stud into the frame; or drill through the RSB, weld a stud to the frame and use a large washer.

It should go up into the mini boot (just me spacial guessing here) at the very front if I remember correctly, right next to the firewall. If you do bolt through use a big washer so it doesn't pull through the chassis tube type thing that it bolts through.

Another possibility would be to drill a hole, or two holes side by side, enough to insert a nut, perhaps a lock nut, and then try to thread it onto a bolt with a lot of lock-tite (blue - the permanent kind). If you have access to an air gun, try to wedge a screwdriver or other wedge shaped tool to prevent the nut from turning, and hammer the bolt on.

I'm guessing that the RSB hasn't moved much with the bolt being missing, so it may all be about nothing, except peace of mind.

Red is perminant, blue will come undone a little bit easier.
