MR2 left side gear

Can someone please tell me how to change the left rear side gear? The wheel no longer engages on that side. So I can only guess its the gear. I'll take the driveaxle off tomorrow as the other one's already off and see if situation persists. Thanks

? do you mean axle?
So let me guess your left rear wheel does not spin freely while in nutural?
I can think of two possiblites one, your brakes szied up or two, your hub barrings szied up.
