Maverick , Are you there Maverick?

So Bill ,

What exactly is the little clear Plexi Glass pieces on Scarlet's door for ? The triangles ? I noticed them before but just ran across the July 4th pics and thought I would quiz you.

Those are Mongo's wind deflectors. They're just little bent pieces of Plexiglass that press into the A-pillar between the rubber gasketing to reduce the buffeted wind that enters the cabin as the result of the side mirrors being where they are. I like the wind-blown effect a convertible provides, and for the most part, Toyota's engineering manages to hit the top-down experience just about dead on, but there is that one little area that has a bit too much airflow. He used to sell 'em for $20, shipped.

They're pretty handy and easily removed (should you be so inclined). These, in addition to BamaSpyders Wind Deflector (BWD - original size or 3/4" taller) help manage the airflow in the cabin pretty well.

He's also making a larger size these days...
