Any meets coming soon?

Dont know any one in the area that has mr2's and i would like to go to a meet sometime. does anyone know of any comming up?

ps. if anyone is looking for a few mr2's, there is a 92 and 93, both na down the street from my house at some buy here/pay here place. they have been there a while so im sure someone can get one for a good deal.

I hate that I missed that. Was with the boyfriend up at the Tail of the Dragon meet for DSMs then. Anyone wanting to get together later this summer, even just for a mini meet?

would love to go to even a "mini meet". have a 88 supercharged 2 that i am doing an engine swap(taking my techs forever to get to it), was supposed to be done by spring but looks like i will be lucky to get it done by end of summer. pistins are benig put in the new motor now but old motor still remaines in car(nothing wrong with current motor but could not pass up deal on new set up). bought a black piece of crap 86 model off ebay for $710 and turned into a money pit but is in body shop now(should be out around 2 weeks)then all i have to do(hopefully)is change front a/c line, thermostat and charge the a/c so i should be ready to rock soon. TELL ME WHEN AND I AM READY!!! will go anywhere from next weekend to whenever. live in WV so is convenient to go to ohio, md, the carolinas, tennessee, etc...

Owners in Columbia meet at least every other month and there is often a bigger one around the 4th of July near Charlotte. Keep posted.

Would you be interested in selling the old motor? My 85 needs something new <3 The DSM meet was fantastic, we ended up riding the dragon in a cavalier sedan. Haha, that car is beastly though. I didn't have insurance on the MR2 yet, or else that would have been dogged through the corners. I can't wait to go again in it. It was fun to make friends, but alas, they knew nothing about toyotas. I'd love to ride with a fleet of mr's

That would be awesome. I need to get my '88 painted, and my '85 is sitting for now. It looks better, but the headgasket is blown. Eh, I'm not sure what I want to do to it. I've never had a manual be so easy and fun to drive.

i have one in a project car right now you could probably get from me. It's a 85, if it makes a difference. Not sure what I would want for it though.

sucks i missed the columbia meet. the charlotte area is about 3 or 4 hours from here so i might be able to make it to one out that way if i have a good amount of advanced notice. hopefully my 2 will be ready by then. i might be swapping the motor soon. hopefully all of that will go smoothly. paint job is almost done though......only 3 more coats of clear!!!

am hanging on to the old motor as you never know what will happen or if i would find one for cheap with a blown motor. hope we do get together for a meet soon.

actually, that is the weekend my family gets together. anyone want to get together on a smaller basis on some other weekend??? does anyone want to meet in West Virginia??? if so, I can do all the planning(meet, eats, scenery, some curves, entertainment and possibly a real cheap place to crash). you all let me know.

I live in Norfolk VA and my car isn't in tip top shape yet but i'd love to go to one of these meets because i need ideas and connections for my car. also i really wanna get to know some people in this area. i am a west coaster.

tried an ohio meet with those guys and had a lack of communication(partly my fault)and just have not had the desire to get back with that group. there has not been much serious follow up on this thread so i may start my own and pm you all 2c what you may want to do.
