Getting tired
Damm,
It's a biatch to find a used MK1 that isn't rusted like heck or costing a billion bucks. I have found a couple and they are both 8 hours away . And even worse it seems that most of them seem to have Blue interior. UGGGGG - I have looked at the Mr2 trader, traderonline, cars.com, Ebay etc... but dang . Eric |

After driving the Spyder it really makes me want an MK1 . I know I cannot afford another Spyder so maybe an MK1 will give me that fun driving appeal that the Spyder has.

Imagine your car on rails but not as fast in the straight aways as this is what an Spyder is like. I wish I could drive a 5spd Spyder . The SMT is cool but nothing is like the clutch of a straight drive.

So here is a couple of options that I have came across. One guy on another site wants to sale his MK1.5 ( Running well , just newly installed ) becasue he just purchased a house or something. It need body work etc... He wants 5,000 FIRM for the car. He know that he is taking a loss but he needs the money. I have read good things about the guys work. I do enjoy working on cars but this really makes things easy. Here is the link and on the third page there is a slide show of pics.
(Edit- I will make pictures of the car and send it to you guys as the link dosen't work) I apologize for any issues . Or for a grand total of $1800.00 , I can purchase this 88SC . It has 164,000 miles but the owner tells me that the Speedo cable broke. He tells me that the car has only been driven 5-10 times around town since the cable broke. The car has a new clutch and rear main seal at $900.00 and a new CD player at $150.00. He tells me that his fiancee's daughter drove the car for summer and has left home. The car runs great he said and has 40% on the tires. The car sold on EBAY for 2,450 but the buyer did not contact him to finalize the sale. As you can see the buyer had " 0 " feedback. Again , he offered the car to me for $1800.00 if I could come get it this week. *Links dead* What are your opinions folks ? Eric Last edited by ALLSHOTUP; 10-06-2006 at 10:27 PM.. |

Save your money, enjoy the cars you got. Use the money to go on vacation, or savings.
If you want to blow $60-100 go downtown to Wasabi, get some AWESOME sushi, go to this cafe called Old Europe (I think), and get a nice desert cake. Then go for a nice ttop-less drive (or top down) down the blue ridge .![]() |

Is the ebay car to far away to check? If not, it might be a fun project, and wouldn't you be able to convert it to the 1.5 for less than 3200? Or maybe there abouts?
Might just be me, but neither of the posted links work for me. |

My buddy just got his 86 NA for 800.00, just found it on the side of the road and called the number on the window. It runs, but it needs a bit of work. You can find them cheap if you take your time, but 1800 for a SC doesn't sound bad if it runs and is in decent condition. (btw I like the blue interior).
