new guy
hey all my name is Evan i live in utah i actually don't have an mr2 yet but i am in the market trying to find a good deal on one but thought i'd get on here to see what kind of information i could find out about the car before i totally commited so any insight would be great. also i was reading a little on the v6 swap and i was kind of thinking about it although i do know quite a bit about other imports but i do not know that much about the mr2 chassis and engine so i probably wouldn't attempt it because being afraid of screwing something up haha, what do you guys think? any help in these questions would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Alright so the 91-94 Chassis code is SW20 and the older one is AW10. The Turbo motors in the SW20 are 3SGTE and the N/A motors in the SW20 are the 5SFE. If I was you, I would go with a turbo. The MR2's also come hard-top, sunroofed, and T-tops. 3SGTE comes stock with 200hp to the crank. They're nice little cars and have a lot of parts on the market. Get one, you will not be disappointed.

wow thanks haha wasn't really expecting that much information but thank you. okay if i go with the turbo though what one would the best put out? i'm thinking i want around 270 whp for my goal which turbo would be best for a track set up to acheive that much hp? i know the mr2 is a fly weight so i'm guessing it has very good handling? any oppinions?

reaching 270whp will cost you a couple thousand dollars. The stock turbo iirc is around 190whp.
