im new, what?!

Hey everyone... I was referred here by mr2gurl4life off of myspace... figured i'd join up, cause why not!

I've owned my 1992 Toyota MR2 Turbo for just over a year now, and it's very lucky that i love it the way i do. I can honestly say, i've never owned a car that broke so often. But, I love it just the same no matter what i guess.

The motor decided to spin a bearing in sept. of 04, so i went the route of replacement. Brand new block, and completely rebuilt/machined head. then.. i crashed it. may of 05. apparently, i thought it was half jet, half hummer. It was raining, brand new pavement, around a very sharp corner. Rear tires were a tad bald [who knows why.. ], and as soon as i went around the corner, it let go.. launching over an embankment, through a stonewall, through a few trees, finally hitting one, spinning [in midair], hitting another tree with the rear end, and falling finally. landing on the rear bumper only, i was looking straight up into the sky between 2 trees. |\| <-- like that. Getting out was the fun part. Disintigrating body kits, ripping/tearing/smashing of fiberglass, metal scraping, floor caving in... yea, it was pretty much the worst experience of my life.. and im pretty sure i cried. Either way.. it's back on the road now.. not quite as pretty as before.. but at least its there. it should be finished up this winter, and all will be good again

Anywho, thats the story about where I am in the MR2 world.. now for mods and what not.

thanks! and no.. i thought for sure it was.. but when i took all the demolished body panels off, the frame was fine. the passenger side rocker panel has a dent in it [you cant see it anyway under the body kit....] and the drivers side floor is raised up a little bit, but nothing structurally wrong with it. -- to be completely honest with you, i havent even had the car on a lift since the accident.. i know the front end is VERY loose now.. and the alignment is wayyyy off [the steering wheel 'top' faces like.. 10:30 instead of 12:00].. one of these days i wont be so lazy and ill just go do it. not that i have any money to fix whatevers wrong, so maybe itll be better just not to know for now!

Well I guess you have a project car now, that should be fun. And at least you managed to keep your 94+ tails.
